National Night Out
America’s Night Out Against Crime On August 5, Euclid residents will join with thousands of communities nationwide in the “25th Annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event. At 7:00 p.m., Kristal Skovira of the Euclid Community Police will use this opportunity to speak about crime prevention at the Euclid Police Mini-Station, 20001 Euclid Avenue. Along with Officer Larry Germovsek, Ms. Skovira will discuss personal and neighborhood safety with a question and answer period. Also that evening, residents in neighborhoods throughout Euclid will turn on their outside lights and spend time outside with neighbors as a message to criminals that their neighborhood is organized and fighting back. National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored by Euclid Weed & Seed. More than 35 million people across the country, Canada, and military bases around the world will participate in this event. |
