Congratulations to Sergeant Joel Barron!  Sgt. Barron received the Living Works Community Excellence Award from the Northern Ohio Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  Sgt. Barron was being recognized for his efforts to train Euclid Police Department Officers in suicide-safe response.   Pictures from right to left are: Jane Lewins, Sgt. Barron, Bill McGovern, Andrea McGovern, and the McGovern’s granddaughter.  The McGoverns lost their son to suicide a few years ago and they sponsored the training that EPD officers received.  Jane Lewins provided the instruction for the officers.
